Biography

Maria Springer (1824–1872) was a poet whose literary contributions enriched Polish cultural life during the 19th century. Her creative works reflected the intellectual and artistic currents of her time, and her poetry demonstrated a sensitive engagement with the themes and concerns of her era.

Springer's memory is preserved at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Gniezno, where she was laid to rest. Her literary legacy continues to represent an important chapter in Polish poetic tradition and the contributions of women to the nation's cultural heritage.
