Biography
Maria Wardas was a Czech woman whose life was lived during one of the most challenging periods in European history. Born in 1911, she came of age during the interwar years and lived through the German occupation and the devastation of World War II.
Wardas's life was cut short in 1944 during the war years. She was buried in the Cemetery in Doly, where she is remembered as part of a generation of women who endured the hardships and uncertainties of wartime Central Europe.
