Biography

Maria Wedmanowa was a Polish politician born in 1903 who dedicated herself to public service during a period of significant political change and upheaval. She lived through Poland's interwar period as an independent nation and witnessed the dramatic transformations brought about by World War II and its aftermath, serving her community during these turbulent times.

Wedmanowa's life and political career were cut short in 1943 during the German occupation of Poland. She was laid to rest at Stary Cmentarz w Łodzi (the Old Cemetery in Łódź), remembered for her commitment to public service and her sacrifice during Poland's darkest hours.
