Biography
Maria Wojciechowska (1869–1959) was a Polish woman who lived through nearly a century of her nation's transformative history. Born during the partition period, she witnessed Poland's restoration to independence and the subsequent development of the modern Polish state.
Her long life spanned from the late imperial era through the mid-twentieth century, encompassing periods of significant change in Polish society and culture. She was laid to rest in Powązki Cemetery, one of Warsaw's most distinguished burial grounds.
