Marian de Forest

Biography

Marian de Forest (1864-1935) was a pioneering journalist and ardent advocate for women in the press and the arts. She used her pen to celebrate culture and to open doors for women seeking to contribute to public life, helping to organize clubs and societies that nurtured artistic talent.

She believed deeply in the power of storytelling to build bridges between neighbors, and she lent her voice to every effort that promoted the creative spirit of the region. She was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, leaving behind a richer cultural life for generations to come.
