Márta Gergely

Biography

Márta Gergely (1913–1973) was a Hungarian writer who contributed to the literary culture of twentieth-century Hungary. Working during a period of significant political upheaval and cultural development, she helped shape Hungarian letters through her written work.

Gergely's career as a writer reflected her engagement with Hungarian intellectual and artistic traditions. She was buried at Farkasréti Cemetery, where many of Hungary's cultural figures have been honored.
