Biography
Martha Pearman Sharp, born in 1917, was an early and tireless advocate for refugees; along with her husband she helped arrange safe passage for families fleeing Europe in the years before and during World War II, an effort later chronicled in stories of courage and moral clarity.
She continued to steer humanitarian efforts through Save the Children and other organizations, raising awareness and funds while remaining a calm and gracious presence, and Roselawn Memorial Park is now the place where those who cherish her empathy come to honor that legacy.
