Martin Freeman

Biography

Martin Freeman, born in 1814, watched his community grow amid the transformations of the 19th century, and he responded with a calm dedication to the people he called neighbors.

When he died in 1894 he was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, where generations since have paused to recall his faithful care.
