Mary Bowser

Biography

Mary Bowser (1841–1867) lived a life marked by the challenges of her era. Born in 1841, she came of age during a period of significant social and political upheaval in American history.

Though her years were limited to twenty-six, her memory is preserved at Woodland Cemetery, where she rests peacefully. Her life, brief as it was, remains part of the tapestry of her time and community.
