Biography
Mary Goodale Slocum was born in 1851 and lived through the latter half of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth. Her life spanned from the post-Civil War era through the early decades of the twentieth century, a period of tremendous change and progress.
She was laid to rest at Newton Cemetery in 1933, having lived more than eighty years. Her memory is preserved in the community where she spent her life and where she is remembered.
