Mary Jones Keating Broughton

Biography

Mary Jones Keating Broughton (1726–1815) was a matriarch whose faithfulness and charity sustained her community through seasons of joy and trial. She welcomed travelers, guided younger families, and kept the fires of devotion bright in the households around her.

She is buried at Saint James Chapel of Ease Cemetery, where grateful descendants still remember her gentle counsel and quiet strength.
