Biography

Mary Katherine Koons was born in 1838 and lived a life of nearly three decades during the turbulent mid-nineteenth century. She came of age during a period of great change in American society.

She was interred at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where her memory rests among the community she knew and the generations that followed her.
