Mary Lily Kenan (1867-1917) came from a distinguished North Carolina family and became known for her gracious hospitality and support of cultural and educational ventures.

Following her marriage to Henry Flagler, she remained engaged in philanthropic efforts, championing causes that improved the daily lives of others and strengthened the communities she loved.
