Mary Priscilla Needham lived through most of the nineteenth century and devoted herself to the rhythms of Macclesfield life, taking pride in the town’s mills and the steady work of its neighbours.

With a generous heart, she quietly supported local charities and kept the bonds of family close, leaving behind a legacy of steadfast care when she was laid to rest in 1895.
