Mary Roberdeau Swift was born in 1804 and passed away in 1827 at the age of twenty-three. She lived during the early decades of the nineteenth century and was connected to the Roberdeau and Swift families, both established in her community.

Mary Roberdeau Swift was laid to rest at Green-Wood Cemetery in 1827. Her brief life reflects the experiences of many young women of her generation, and her memory is preserved among the notable burials of that historic cemetery.
