Mary Townsend

Biography

Mary Townsend (1814–1851) lived a life of modest span during the antebellum period, experiencing the cultural and social developments of early nineteenth-century America. Though her years were relatively few, she left an impression upon those in her community.

She was interred at The Woodlands, a burial ground that served as the final resting place for many notable individuals of her era, preserving her memory for future generations.
