Biography

Mathieu Autric was a French military officer whose service extended through the early decades of the 19th century. Born in 1794, he witnessed and participated in the transformative military campaigns and reforms that shaped post-Napoleonic France.

Autric's military career reflected the values of duty and service that characterized the officer corps of his generation. He maintained his commission through the Restoration and into the July Monarchy, serving until his death in 1868. He was laid to rest in the Cemetery of the Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine in Aiglun, a final resting place befitting a man of military honor.
