Biography

Maurice Fingercwajg was born in 1922 and grew up in Ivry-sur-Seine, where he became deeply involved in resisting the Nazi occupation. He worked alongside his fellows in clandestine networks, helping to shelter fugitives, pass information, and deliver the small but crucial acts of defiance that sustained hope within his community.

In 1944 Maurice paid the ultimate price for his courage after being arrested by the forces of occupation; he remained steadfast in the face of interrogation and his sacrifice is remembered among those who refused to yield to tyranny.
