Biography

Maurice Graham English (1898–1918) was a British airman who served in the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War. His service in the nascent field of aerial warfare represented the technological innovations and new forms of combat that characterized the Great War.

English's death in 1918 marked the loss of a skilled airman during the final year of the conflict. His burial at Ramscappelle Road Military Cemetery preserves his memory among the countless servicemen who sacrificed their lives for their country during the First World War.
