Biography

Max Jellinek was a member of the Brno Jewish community during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He lived during a period of cultural development and increasing complexity in Central European Jewish life.

Jellinek lived from 1859 to 1914, his life spanning more than half a century of significant historical change. He was interred in the Jewish cemetery in Brno, where his memory is preserved within the community's sacred burial ground.
