Biography

Max Stirner (1806–1856) was a German writer and philosopher whose radical ideas on individualism and egoism profoundly influenced anarchist and libertarian thought. His seminal work challenged conventional moral and political philosophy, presenting a provocative critique of established institutions and social norms.

Stirner's intellectual contributions, though initially overshadowed, gained significant recognition in subsequent generations as thinkers grappled with his uncompromising philosophy of individual autonomy. His writings continue to inspire philosophical debate and remain central to discussions of political theory and individual liberty. He was buried at Friedhof II der Sophiengemeinde Berlin.
