Biography

Meir Kahane (1932-1990) was a politician and activist whose uncompromising message focused on Jewish security and collective responsibility, from his early work in the United States to his tenure in the Knesset. His speeches and writings sought to draw attention to threats facing Jewish communities and to rally people to act.

He founded organizations aimed at strengthening Jewish identity, and after his assassination he was laid to rest on Har HaMenuchot, where many recall his passionate voice and the ongoing conversation his ideas continue to inspire.
