Biography
Rabbi Meir Shapiro, born in 1887, was a visionary leader who founded the Daf Yomi program and sought to elevate Torah study by enabling Jews worldwide to learn the same page each day.
His energy also inspired the creation of modern yeshivot and strengthened connections among diverse communities, leaving a lasting impact on Jewish scholarship before his passing in 1933; he is remembered on Har HaMenuchot.
