Biography

Menahem Mendel of Shklov (1740–1827) was a rabbi and disciple of the Vilna Gaon whose scholarship helped transmit Torah teachings to Jerusalem and the Land of Israel.

He rests on the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery, where his life continues to encourage study and reverence for tradition.
