Michał Pac

Biography

Michał Pac, born into the distinguished Pac family in 1754, took on the responsibilities of a politician during the final years of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the turbulent years that followed. He worked to represent the interests of his community, advocating for moderate reforms and helping to protect the social and religious institutions around the Church of St. Michael the Archangel and St. John the Baptist in Jieznas.

His calm diligence and sense of duty provided steady leadership even as borders shifted, and the faithful of Jieznas continue to honor his memory beside the church where he found rest.
