Michael Hutchinson Jenks, born in 1795, held the values taught within his Quaker community close to heart and sought to live a life of integrity that reflected those principles.

He is remembered fondly by the congregants of Newtown Friends Meeting, and his memory rests on the peaceful hill of the Meetinghouse and Cemetery.
