Michael Reddig

Biography

Michael Reddig, born in 1842, served as vicar in Ybbsitz with a steady pastoral presence that strengthened the bonds of his parish. His ministry was marked by a willingness to accompany families through joy and grief alike, helping to sustain village life in the late nineteenth century.

He became a familiar figure in the surrounding countryside, and the people he served continued to cherish his legacy after his death in 1907, laying him to rest in the soil of Ybbsitz where he had shepherded so many souls.
