Biography

Mickey Kreitner took the mound for the Chicago Cubs during the World War II era, displaying a steady arm and a love for the game that endeared him to teammates and fans alike. His focus on fundamentals, strong work ethic, and good humor helped sustain him through the rigors of professional baseball.

After his playing days he stayed involved in the sport, coaching young players and sharing stories of perseverance, and his memory lives on in the baseball community and among those who visit Spring Hill Cemetery.
