Mihály Mauthner

Biography

Mihály Mauthner (1851–1914) was a Hungarian merchant whose business activities contributed to Budapest's commercial development during the latter half of the 19th century. He established himself as a successful trader and businessman, participating in the economic life of the city during a period of industrial expansion.

Mauthner's merchant career spanned several decades of the Austro-Hungarian era. He was laid to rest in the Salgotarjani Street Jewish Cemetery, where he is remembered as a businessman who participated in Budapest's growing commercial prosperity.
