Biography

Mike Genna, born in 1895, shared his brothers' place within the histories of Chicago's organized crime during the 1920s, a world defined by competing interests and heightened violence. Like them, he balanced fierce loyalty to family with the inevitable strains of such dangerous work.

He was killed in 1925, and his surviving relatives remember him as a brother and son whose ties to family were as strong as the era's pressures were severe, a reminder of the human cost of those tumultuous years.
