Biography

Mike Menosky enjoyed a standout baseball career as an outfielder, spending the bulk of his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates before finishing with the Boston Braves, earning admiration for his hustle, defensive range, and bringing lighthearted banter to clubhouses. He played through the difficulties of war-time rosters and the rising expectations of the major leagues, always approaching the game with humility.

After hanging up his spikes he remained in close contact with young players, sharing stories at clinics and staying a devoted fan of the game, and he is remembered near Holy Sepulchre Cemetery among those who cherished his warmth.
