Biography

Mikhail Klimenko was born in Ulyanovsk in 1906, a city known as the birthplace of Lenin and a center of Russian intellectual and cultural life. He lived through nearly a century of profound historical change.

Klimenko's long life spanned from the Russian Empire through the Soviet era and into the modern period. He passed away in 1991, a year of tremendous significance in Russian history.
