Biography

Miklós Bottka was a painter whose works captured light and place with sensitivity, contributing to Budapest’s vibrant artistic life in the early decades of the 20th century. He pursued color and form with a patient hand, seeking to express both the timeless and the contemporary through his canvases.

Throughout his career he engaged with fellow artists and patrons, helping to sustain a dialogue about the future of Hungarian art. He passed away in 1941, and his artistic spirit rests in the New Public Cemetery in Budapest.
