Mikola Hvazdoŭ was a Belarusian poet born in 1916 in Ukhta, a town in the northern Soviet Union. He emerged as a literary voice during the early Soviet period, contributing to Belarusian and Soviet poetry with works that reflected the cultural and political landscape of his time.

Hvazdoŭ's promising literary career was tragically cut short when he died in 1938 at the age of 22. Though his life was brief, he is remembered as a talented poet whose work represented the creative spirit of young Soviet writers during the 1930s.
