Minna Weizmann

1889–1925 (age 36)

Biography

Minna Weizmann trained as a physician and became one of the first women doctors serving the Jewish community in Palestine, tending to patients with skill at a time when female healers were rare.

She also engaged in health education, encouraged women to pursue medical knowledge, and remained close to the networks of pioneers who looked after the weak; her grave at Trumpeldor Cemetery recalls her steady care.
