Biography
Mitchell Parish gave voice to some of the century’s most cherished melodies, penning lyrics for songs such as "Stardust," "Deep Purple," and countless others that became standards of American music. His poetic phrasing and ability to capture the ache of longing or the glow of romance made his collaborations with composers like Hoagy Carmichael and Duke Ellington unforgettable.
