Biography
Mitrofan Znosko-Borovsky, born in 1909, was a Russian-born chess master and writer who competed in European tournaments and shared his analysis through columns and books that strengthened the skills of countless players.
He devoted his later years to teaching and writing about chess, guiding generations of players in strategic thinking and sportsmanship until his 2002 passing and interment at Holy Trinity Monastery.
