Biography

Mitsukuri Shūhei (1826–1886) was a distinguished Japanese historian whose scholarly work contributed significantly to the documentation and interpretation of Japan's past during the Meiji period. His research and writings helped establish modern historical methodologies in Japan during a time of rapid cultural and institutional transformation.

Throughout his career, Shūhei devoted himself to preserving and analyzing historical records, earning respect among his contemporaries as a dedicated scholar.
