Biography
József Szabó de Szentmiklós, 1822–1894, pursued the science of the earth with keen observation and methodical rigor. He explored Hungary’s geological foundations with a curiosity that brought new understanding of its landscapes.
Szabó de Szentmiklós shared his findings generously, helping to inform both industry and education while nurturing future geologists. He rests in the Fiume Road Graveyard, leaving behind research that guided generations of scholars.
