Moses Langley Wicks

Biography

Moses Langley Wicks was born in 1852 and spent his years in Indiana as the state moved from frontier to bustling Midwestern hub. A diligent worker with an even temper, he maintained family enterprises and helped local institutions weather the rapid changes of the late nineteenth century.

In his later years, he was treasured for his steady counsel, his support for neighborhood churches and schools, and the sense of continuity he shared with neighbors in Indianapolis. He is honored at Evergreen Cemetery, where friends recall the warmth he showed his community.
