Biography

Moses Steckerl was a prominent member of the Brno Jewish community during the 19th century. Born in 1800, he lived during a period of significant social and cultural transformation in Central Europe, maintaining his connections to his community throughout his life.

Steckerl's life spanned nearly seven decades of the 1800s, a time of considerable change for Jewish communities in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Brno upon his death in 1867, where his legacy continues to be honored.
