Moshe Baram
1911–1986 (age 75)
Biography
Moshe Baram rose through the Labour movement to serve for decades as a member of the Knesset and as a minister responsible for labour, housing, and civilian absorption. He was admired for his close listening to new immigrants and for shaping policies that strengthened social welfare.
Even after leaving the cabinet he kept advising colleagues and nurturing new leaders, making room for calm dialogue in public life; he rests at Har HaMenuchot.
