Myron Norton

Biography

Myron Norton (1821–1857) lived a relatively brief life of 36 years during the antebellum period of American history. Born in 1821, he came of age during a time of significant social and political tension in the nation, living through the decades preceding the Civil War.

Norton's burial at Evergreen Cemetery marks his final resting place in his community. Though his life was cut short, his presence in the historical record acknowledges his participation in the life of his generation during a critical period in American history.
