Biography

Nadezhda Krupskaya (1869–1939) was a Russian revolutionary, educator, and writer who played a significant role in Soviet cultural and educational development. As the wife of Vladimir Lenin, she was deeply involved in the Bolshevik movement and contributed substantially to the establishment of Soviet educational policies and children's literature.

After the Russian Revolution, Krupskaya dedicated herself to advancing literacy and education throughout the Soviet Union, serving as a prominent figure in the People's Commissariat of Education. Her writings on pedagogy and revolutionary theory influenced Soviet educational philosophy for generations. She remained an influential intellectual voice in Soviet society until her death, and was honored with burial in the Kremlin Wall Necropolis as a recognition of her contributions to the revolutionary cause and Soviet culture.
