Biography

Nadezhda Shipova (1795–1877) was a Russian woman of the nineteenth century whose life encompassed the dramatic transformations of her era. Though limited records remain of her individual accomplishments, her longevity and burial in Novodevichy Cemetery suggest she held a respected position in Russian society.
