Biography
Nándor Szenkár (1858–1927) composed music that wove Hungarian folk colors into symphonic and chamber forms, helping national expression find a refined voice on stage and in the concert hall.
He also guided pupils in the art of composition and kept alive the belief that music can repair and inspire, remembered now in the Kozma Street Jewish Cemetery.
