Biography

Natalya Saltykova-Golovkina (1787–1860) was a member of the Russian nobility during the late 18th and 19th centuries. She lived through a transformative period in Russian history, witnessing the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent development of Imperial Russia under successive monarchs.

Saltykova-Golovkina maintained her place within aristocratic society and was interred at the Cemetery in Donskoy Monastery, one of Moscow's most prestigious burial grounds reserved for the nobility and distinguished citizens of the Russian Empire.
