Biography
Nathanael of Ohrid devoted his pen to celebrating Bulgarian identity, exploring sacred history, and recording the lived experience of a people awakening to self-determination. His writings guided many toward a deeper appreciation for the spiritual and literary heritage of the Balkans.
He was laid to rest at the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Plovdiv, where pilgrims continue to honor the writer who merged faith and scholarship with humility.
