Biography

Ned Parfett was a street vendor whose humble occupation placed him among the working people of his community. He represented the ordinary citizens whose lives were forever altered by the First World War.

Parfett died in 1918 and was laid to rest at Verchain British Cemetery. Though his life was brief and his occupation modest, his sacrifice during the Great War ensured he would be remembered as part of the countless individuals who gave their lives for their country.
