Biography

Born in Louisville in 1867, Nick Reeder came of age amid the rebuilding of the city after the Civil War. His personal story is not widely recorded, yet family recollections and the community he knew remember him as a sincere presence in a rapidly changing Kentucky.

He passed in 1894 and was laid to rest at Cave Hill Cemetery, where his name stands among many who helped shape Louisville in the late nineteenth century and where his loved ones continue to honor his memory.
